Steve Jobs – How To Live Before You Die October 17, 2014

“Stay hungry, stay foolish.”

A couple of my favorite Steve Jobs quotes came from this commencement speech at Stanford in 2005.

“Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice.”

In this speech, Jobs tells 3 personal stories about:

  • Connecting the dots
  • Love and Loss and
  • Death

Take a few minutes to watch this one. It’s a great reminder that we’re only here for a short time, so do what you love and have the confidence that your heart and intuition will lead you where you’re supposed to be.

As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to let outside chatter cloud our judgement and sway us in a direction that doesn’t feel right. Stay true to yourself, find what you love, and do what you feel is great work. It’s your life, so don’t settle.

  1. Great post Greg!

I Love this Steve Jobs quote – “Have the courage to follow your heart & intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.”

I actually used it to open up my “Live Courageously” talk to UCSD college students recently, helping them learn to trust their intuition and Awaken to their Greatness.

    Keep up the great content!
